Unit 6 1.2 STEC: Concept Art

 When trying to use concept, you must be open to use different ways in which to get the outcome you may desire.

Know the aspects of the idea you are working with and try to stay within those boundaries. First thing you will need to do is have a clear overall concept through many discussions with the employer. The artists need to understand the vision at which is trying to be described.

You could always use AI generated images as a sort of crutch but it would not be as thorough as if artists took their time to draw out the wanted image. But it would ruin the process of gathering reference material in order to get the desired type.

More that you could potentially use is some websites that can either help you give some prompts or does some of the work for you by making it do some art by giving it some prompts and it generates some work for you following under the AI influence.

These two are simple yet effective prompt givers that randomize some results and make it so that anything can some from them. Its really efficient for creating background characters and things alike.

This website is extremely helpful when trying to create characters, I made an evil sorcerer with a pet familiar.

Or a Cyberpunk swordsman with a fresh style.
Or a samurai being attacked with a butchers knife.
You can also change his gear with spells and other weapons along a long list.
Its very useful when making a character so its a highly recommended website. It comes with many different poses for you to use to try and capture the posture correctly of the characters personality. It comes with many cool features to help and fully develop a character

YouTube is also a brilliant place to lookup tutorials even for pixel art in photoshop, simple tutorials such as Brackeys video.

RanGen.com : This software is incredible, I would use this regularly. It gives off loads of information for random characters and it has many more features than the last one I wrote about. I love that it gives so much about their appearance. It really gives way for concept art to be drawn of them. I really like the personality section due to its simplicity but yet effective use of many words to describe a person in a very short space.  So far i have started an assignment Unit 3&4 - Understanding an Audience. i am at the moment focusing on 1.2 as i have done the research needed to think about how the two digital products advertise to their target audience. I chose Spotify and Canva as they are two very different products but they advertise very similarly. I explained what Canva is and how it's a products for designers trying to seek out easy but easy to professionalize their design. I wrote about how Spotify is a online music streaming service that provides recommendations for new songs through lots of use.  While I was at home, I looked out my room and this gave me some creepy vibes when just looking down. This reminds me of abandoned houses in horror games what leave you at a hall  way waiting to be jump scared. It interested me on how any day to day image could turn into a horror show. I definitely like the atmosphere it created with the light being from where the camera is. It reminds me of fog, in the way that where you stand in the fog you can see where you stand but you cannot see up ahead giving that unknown element. In horror games like 'Slender-Man' it does the same feature where you can see up to a certain degree and that narrows the first person perspective giving that tension builder. Another picture I took was one of the outside when the sun was slowly setting the scene for people to get tired and sleep. It was nice view to see and a good time to capture it.
